Workshop for making Chemistry more interesting
A capacity building workshop was held at Kalka public school, Alaknanda attended by Ms. Reena Manchanda (HOD Chemistry) and Mr. Somvir (PGT Chemistry) . A lot new strategies and activities were discussed which can be incorporated in the classroom to make the teaching learning process more interesting.
The probable career options in chemistry were discussed. Experiential learning was main objective of the workshop where new activities like the Six thinking hats of Edward de Bono, mind mapping ,case studies, etc. were discussed. Both formal and informal assessment techniques were discussed. Also the framing of questions according to different cognitive levels was discussed. Overall the workshop was productive and had a lot to offer.
