PRT Teachers Training
PRT Teachers training was conducted at the school during winter vacations. The first day of the workshop started with an ice-breaking activity by the competent resource person Ms Sudha Agarwal. The emphasis of the workshop was on the skills and competencies needed by teachers in 21st century. She discussed that in the fast-changing world, we shouldn’t refrain ourselves from accepting the challenge, exploring and critiquing, taking initiative and having conviction. 21st century competencies majorly includes skill, ability and knowledge. The session further continued with teachers’ presentation.
The second day started with lesson planning session where the teachers primarily focused on knowledge, skills and attitude. The same later discussed and improvised after brain storming. The teachers were also made familiar with different active and collaborative learning strategies.
The Day 3 workshop started with a motivational video which conveyed the message that getting marks is not everything. All participants asked question from each other in order to check on understanding of previous day training session. Subject-wise group were formed thereafter to make lesson plans according to the rubrics LOS, getting ready to learn, Active learning, Group learning Differentiation, Questions Closure etc. Each group presented their lesson plan and suggestions as well as feedback was invited from the audience. In the end a group photograph was taken to keep the memories of learning together.
