A strong school education system is foundational for building responsible and productive citizens. In keeping with the vision of the school to nurture holistic development of the children DPSG, Palam Vihar organized a workshop for the students of IX A on personality development on 23rd April 2018. The resource persons Mr. Prashant Sharma and Ms. Anjali from 1st Personality enlightened the students with the virtues of personality development.
In the face of demanding and stressful circumstances , the young teenagers are exposed to tremendous peer pressure .Hence the development of soft skills becomes all the more important to adequately equip the youth to brace the rising societal pressures. The workshop began with the energiser subtly inculcating the importance of value of listening skill to enhance concentration and memory. Students learnt the mantra of “LET THEM LAUGH, LET THEM THINK, BECOZ I KNOW I HAVE TO WIN” to beat stress . Students learnt the values of patience, compassion and mutual respect through social drama and role play.
All the students actively participated and enjoyed thoroughly. As Pragun of class IX A states, “The workshop was very interesting and useful as it taught us how to develop our personality by remaining calm and cool.” One of the parents Ms. Kavita Yadav found the workshop very informative. She said,” Such workshops should regularly be held because they furnish the child with necessary tools to face the growing challenges of life.”
